Bathroom: You would lie down behind the bathroom door whenever i had a bath. You wanted me to come out. You would cry and fuss. You would stick your little fingers under the door to try and reach me. I hurried so i could get back to you. I was never away from you, i wanted to always be with you, you wanted to be with me. Now. you aren't here any more, i don't understand why. i love you so very much little one.
You would sit on my lap on the toilet. I would plug in your santa light, turn off the main light and we would sing jingle bells over and over again. You would clap your hands and laugh and i would bounce you up and down. You loved up and down of any kin d. YOu thought it was funny. You would always push the cabinet door closed even if it was open a little bit. You would spin the knobs on the drawers, you would turn the bathroom light off and on. YOu liked turning the lights off.
When you were smaller, your mother go into the tub with you and i would sit on the toilet. Then, she would put you on my lap and i would dry you all up and she would blow dry your hair, your beautiful long curls. As you got bigger it was just you and me in the bathroom. I would arrange all your toys on the side of the tub so you would be interested in playing with them. You would dump the water into the containers even after they were full and watch the water run on the floor. You would slide down the end of the tub over and over and i would catch you. You would stand up and oopen and close the bathroom window shutters and i would try to wash your hair. You would play with the potty pot, fill it with water and put your feet into it. Sometimes you would wash your hands in the sink and look at yourself in the mirror. You liked to look at yourself. Your mother would come and take you out of the bathroom and carry you to our room . Then, one day you didn't want to go into the tub anymore, no matter how attractive i tried to make it for you, you no longer liked water. I don't know why. I began washing you in the bedroom. I would put water in a wipes container with baby bath and bathe you, your arms, chest, face hands at night , the rest of you in the morning i didn't want to do much. I would wash your hair every day while you were sleeping. I always had a bottle ready in case you woke up, you would have been upset knowing your hair was wet. I was so careful with you. There are milk drops in the bathroom doors and cabinets, green crayon on the wall, brown on the door. You always brought crayons in with you and i would put them in your hand when you were done. Your baby bath that i washed you with the last time sits in the bathroom window sill. And i cry and cry. I love you so much baby puss.
